1. Camouflage those roots

Darker or Lighter Shades – try avoid a definitive parting or any visible lines of colour / greys. Change the style up a little, or look out for root concealer spray’s and palettes from your local supermarkets. And remember since the emergence of techniques such as balayage and root smudging, light hair and darker roots is no longer a fashion crime!

2. Grow your lashes out

If you’re a lash queen like a lot of our members of staff, and love keeping up with your LvL & Lash extensions now is the time to grow them babies out. Just think how amazing your lashes will be upon your next appointment, double volume! But for now mascara is our saviour.

4. Drink lots of water

Stay hydrated, ensure you are having at least 3 and a half – pint glasses of water per day. This will help energise and support hair growth from root to tip, and help flush the toxins out of your body making your nails strong and keeping your skin looking fresh.

5. Give your hair a break from heat

As you can’t leave the house, ditch the straighteners and heat appliances! Let the hair dry naturally using silicon free oil to control any frizz, or put your hair in plaits to create a wavy beach look.

6. Add highlighter to your moisturiser

Spring has begun, and although we may be wearing mostly lounge wear at home why not dig out that pretty colourful dress or top and add some highlighter into your body moisturiser. Apply all over and create your own glow, you will be ready for brighter days to come.

7. Give your brushes a spring clean

You may have cleaned your whole house by now if you have been at home, but have you gave all your brushes and combs a good clean? Including that fluff on the back of hairdryers, and not to mention product build up on straighteners. Leave your hair brushes to soak in warm shampoo for 20 minutes, or look up – home hacks for some more ways.

8. Eat your 5 a day

We need our immune systems now more than ever, and if you find yourself less busy, then maybe researching new delicious meals can be a great way of implementing more healthy foods into our diets. Ensure you are getting the right foods in order to allow your mind, and body to flourish!

9. Get perfecting your skincare routine

11. Take a break from make-up

Allow your skin to detox, enjoy a morning coffee in the garden with the sun shining and take in some natural vitamin D with nothing but your SPF on. Ahh -pure bliss.

12. Treat your body right

More often than not, being stuck indoors can mean over indulging. But keeping things in moderation and planning out healthy meals, along with home work out routines can really take care of your body. Meditation can be a great way of tackling any stress, as well as yoga and any other forms of exercise. Check in with loved ones as much as possible, and most importantly take care of you.

13. Exfoliate your skin regularly

For dry skin it is important to do this 1-2 times per week, if you have oily skin you may require this more often. There are many great products out there to suit different skin types, but alternatively a few home hacks are to use brown sugar, skin brushes or even exfoliation gloves.

14. Cleanse your make-up bags & brushes

Most dermatologists advise to soak your tools, especially foundation and concealer brushes, once a week minimum to prevent product buildup. Because these brushes are used on your face, the cleaner they are the better they are for your skin. Cotton make-up bags can be washed on a gentle wash with detergent, or alternatively washed down with soap by hand and wiped over with anti-bacterial solution and left to air out.

15. Keep your lips hydrated

Winter may be over, but we still need to keep our lips full, healthy and well nourished! Create a home lip scrub, mix one teaspoon of honey with two teaspoons of sugar. Massage the mixture around your lips, and leave for around 5 – 10 mins. Remove with the help of a warm face cloth.

16. Relax with a hair masque

If you happen to have hair oil add a few drops into your conditioner to create your own hair masque, or simply leave your conditioner on for 10-15 mins longer for extra hydration!
